Atheists of Utah hosts a speaker on the second or third Sunday of each month where you can listen to local activists, politicians, educators, authors, and scientists talk about a compelling subject. Afterwards, we often retire to a nearby establishment where we can relax, enjoy some refreshment, and continue the conversation.

What is the impact of trauma on belief systems? Jacek Brewczynski will tell us about the impact of trauma on beliefs, losing faith, and discovering meaning. What Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is and how alteration in meanings often lead one to question one's faith and how this can lead to difficulty in treating PTSD.
Jacek Brewczynski, PhD, is a psychologist, SUD-PTSD Specialist at the VA Hospital, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Utah.
